Improvement Of Lubrication System Of Chain Driven Apron Feeder In Coal Handling Plant

Feb 22, 2023

The lubrication mode of the new tank chain drive apron feeder in coal handling plant supporting sprocket and the inner support heavy wheel is changed from manual oil injection to centralized lubrication, which makes up for the lubrication defects caused by the equipment structure. The continuous lubrication improves the equipment utilization rate.

New tank chain drive apron feeder in coal handling plant is mainly composed of driving device, main shaft, chain plate, frame, supporting sprocket, inner support heavy wheel, outer support heavy wheel and tension device, as shown in Figure 1. In practical application, the length of the feeder is designed and installed according to the requirements of different working conditions, and the corresponding number of supporting sprocket and inner support heavy wheel is matched with this. For example, if the feeder is 9m in length, there are 34 sprockets and 44 inner support heavy wheels. The new feeder has better adaptability to the change of particle size, temperature and viscosity of the conveying material. At the same time, it has the advantages of uniform feeding amount, less leakage, easy installation and so on. It is gradually replacing the old AC ring drive apron feeder in coal handling plant, which has been rapidly promoted and used in mining, metallurgy, building materials and coal industries.

Ii. Problems

The apron feeder in coal handling plant supporting sprocket and the inner supporting heavy wheel bearing are in the middle and bottom of the equipment, and the lubrication mode is dry oil cup lubrication (FIG. 2. Figure 3), it is necessary to manually use dry oil gun for oil injection lubrication one by one. Due to the narrow space, even in the shutdown state, manual can not enter the new feeder to oil injection lubrication for dozens of supporting sprockets and inner support heavy wheels. Only when the equipment is disassembled for maintenance, use dry oil gun to oil the supporting sprockets and inner support heavy wheels. It is time-consuming, laborious and easy to cause grease pollution. Bearings are often damaged by lack of oil when the equipment is running.

The lubrication mode of the supporting sprocket and the inner supporting heavy wheel of the feeder is improved, and the dry oil cup on the shaft end of the supporting sprocket and the inner supporting heavy wheel is changed into a flaming-type pipe joint (FIG. 4 and 5). A set of centralized dry oil lubrication device is added on both sides of the feeder (FIG. 6), and the centralized dry oil lubrication device consists of a dry oil spring (including the motor). Main oil pipe, oil separator, branch oil pipe and flaring pipe joint. The dry oil pump is installed on both sides of the frame, and the oil distributor is installed on the frame near the supporting sprocket and the inner support heavy wheel that need lubrication. The outlet of the dry oil pump is connected with the entrance of the oil distributor by the main oil pipe, and then the outlet of the oil distributor is connected with the expanding pipe joint at the shaft end of the supporting sprocket or the inner support heavy wheel by the branch oil pipe. With 10 outlet dry oil pumps and 1 inlet and 4 outlet oil separator, one dry oil pump can supply oil to 40 lubricating points. Iv. Improvement effect The improved feeder (FIG. 7) only needs to start the dry oil pump motor for 2~3 minutes to dry

Force, improve the sealing effect, see Figure 4~5.

In view of the problems occurred in the operation of the unit, the corresponding improvement measures were taken. After improvement, the interference of the seal ring of the shaft neck and the eccentricity of the shaft of the unit were measured within the range of technical requirements, and the sealing effect of the shaft end oil seal on site was effectively improved.

The oil pump can fill the grease to dozens of brackets through the centralized dry oil lubrication system

On the bearing of sprocket and inner support heavy wheel, the apron feeder in coal handling plant is injected with oil at any time without stopping the machine, so that the bearing is always in a good state, to ensure the normal operation of the feeder, the maintenance cost is reduced while the equipment utilization rate is improved.
