The apron feeder conveyor consists of a heavy-duty conveyor chain on which the apron plate is mounted. The chain runs on a back-up roll mounted on the tarmac feed rack. They are driven by sprockets and tensioned either mechanically or hydraulically. The apron feeder conveyor material is delivered by the conveyor system. As a result, there is no relative movement between the material and the apron. Therefore, this results in low wear operation.
