1. Install from the headstock, then install each section of the intermediate frame in turn, the finally step is the tailstock. Before installing the frame, the first step is pull the centreline over the full length of the conveyor. As keeping the centre line of the conveyor in a straight line is an important condition for the normal operation of the conveyor belt, the centre line must be aligned when installing each section of the frame. And the permissible error of the frame on the centre line is ±0.1mm.
2. When installing the drive unit, it should be carefully to taken the drive shaft of the troughed belt conveyor perpendicular to the centre line, which could let the centre of the drive roller width overlaps the centre line of the conveyor and the shaft of the reducer is parallel to the drive shaft. At the same time, all shafts and rollers should be levelled. Depending on the width of the conveyor, the leveling error of the shafts is allowed to be within 0.5-1.5 mm. When installing the drive unit, tensioning devices such as tail pulleys can be installed. The roller shaft of the tensioning device should be perpendicular to the centre line of the belt conveyor.
3. After installing the frame, drive and tensioning device, you can install the upper and lower roller carriers so that the conveyor belt has a slowly changing curved arc.The spacing of the roller carriers in the curved section is 1/2 to 1/3 of the normal roller carrier spacing. After installing the rollers, you should try to rotate them flexibly and gently.
4. Fix the frame to the foundation or floor. Once the troughed belt conveyor is fixed, the feeding and discharging devices can be installed.
5. When hanging the conveyor belt, the belt should be laid on the idle section rollers, around the drive rollers, and then on the heavy section rollers.
6. After installation of the troughed belt conveyor, it need unloading testing.In the unloading testing , the attention should be paid to any deviations in the operation of the conveyor belt. The activity of the rollers during operation, the tightness of the contact between the cleaning device and the guide idler, the surface of the troughed conveyor belt should make the necessary adjustments. Only after all components are made, the unloading testing should be carried out.
