The chain plate is made of Q355B low-alloy high-strength structural steel. It is fixed to the chain through high-strength bolts and nuts, and can be replaced separately on site without affecting other parts of the plate-type feeder.
- Additionally, depending on the specific working conditions, the plate feeder can be equipped with heavy-duty cast manganese steel or a welded structure with reinforcing ribs, which is suitable for handling materials under high load and high impact conditions. This design helps protect the feeder and extend its service life.

How Apron Feeder Conveyor Work?
The heavy-duty impact-resistant apron feeder conveyor uses large pitch high-strength tractor-type crawler chains (tank chains) as the traction components. Two chains are looped around the drive device installed at the front of the body and the tensioning device at the rear of the body to form a closed loop. On each link of the two rows of chains, overlapping and heavy-duty structure conveying channels are assembled, forming a continuous conveying line capable of transporting materials. The materials enter the conveying line through the tail bin and are transported forward under the drive of the chains. During the conveying process, the chain plates push the materials to the desired location.

Drive Device
Drive device utilizes an AC variable frequency drive system that integrates software with electronic and mechanical systems to provide precise conveyor speed control and overload protection.
The main components of the drive device can choose Siemens, ABB, Sew, Flender and other well-known domestic and foreign brands of motor and gearbox, to provide stable and continuous kinetic energy output, with high efficiency, low noise, low vibration and other characteristics.

Sprocket
Cast manganese segmental sprockets bolted to heavy steel hubs keyed to oversized front drive shaft.
The segmental sprockets can be replaced in a very short time without needing to dismantle or remove other parts of the feeder.

Pans
The pans bolted to the chain with high strength bolts and nuts, which can be replaced individually in situ without disturbing the rest of the apron feeder.
According to different working conditions, apron feeder conveyor can choose heavy duty cast manganese steel or welded construction with ribbed reinforcements, which is suited for materials with high load and high impact conditions.

Chains
The chain uses an off the shelf dozers chain (Track chain), which is characterized by small pitch error, smooth movement, high strength, large pulling force, and the chain has a self-lubricating device and a sealing device. The shaft is made of hardened steel, which improves the toughness and impact resistance of the traction chain, has good wear resistance and has a long service life.

Rollers
The rollers are designed as a standard tractor rollers with sealed and lifetime lubricated bearings, mounted on the main feeder frame. The rollers has suitably spaced to provide adequate support for the chain assembly.
The rollers can use world famous brands according to customer needs, such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, and Shantui.

Tail Tension Device
The tension device is used to tighten and adjust the horizontal position of the chain to ensure that the chain tightness is moderate and make it run smoothly. When the pans are suddenly impacted by the material, the composite spring can play a buffer role to protect the pans and other components from damage.

High Load Capacity & Impact Resistance
Using high-strength alloy steel chain plates and crawler-type traction chains (tank chains), combined with a frame equipped with a buffer beam, it can withstand the high pressure of the silo and the direct impact of large pieces of ore (with a particle size of over 1500mm), and is unlikely to deform or break.
Sturdy And Durable Structure
The frame is made by welding H-shaped steel, which is lightweight and has good rigidity; the chain is of the type used in crawler-type bulldozers and is equipped with a self-lubrication device and a sealing device. The idler wheels are designed as standard tractor idler wheels, equipped with sealed bearings that are lubrication-free for life, and installed on the frame to extend the service life of the chain and idler wheels and reduce the frequency of maintenance.
Uniform and Controllable Feeding Speed
It is equipped with an optional frequency converter. By adjusting the rotational speed of the main motor, the chain speed can be changed, achieving the purpose of regulating the processing capacity of the heavy-duty plate feeder, ensuring a stable load for the downstream crusher and avoiding overload or idle rotation.
Flexible Installation And Layout
It can both continuously and uniformly feed materials horizontally, and also convey materials at a small inclination upwards. It is suitable for scenarios where there are height differences between the material bins, and can seamlessly connect the material bins with the front processes of crushing, screening, and conveying.
Wide Material Adaptability
Supports the transportation of high-temperature, high-humidity, large-sized solid materials with sharp edges and strong abrasiveness. It can be installed at an angle, with the maximum installation inclination reaching 25°, and is suitable for complex terrain layout.s.
