In the fields of mining and building material processing, the classification and screening of gypsum rock, soil and limestone are crucial steps in the production process.
When traditional screening equipment is used to process gypsum rock, the following problems often occur:
- The sticky gypsum powder generated during crushing is easily clogged in the sieve holes, requiring frequent shutdown for cleaning, significantly reducing the screening efficiency;
- The continuous impact of large pieces of gypsum can cause wear and deformation of the ordinary screen surface, with high costs for replacing parts;
- Wet and sticky materials tend to stick together and are difficult to separate, resulting in poor classification accuracy and difficulty in meeting the standard particle size of the finished product;
- The large vibration of the equipment leads to the spread of gypsum dust and excessive noise, failing to meet environmental protection standards;
- Moreover, component damage can easily cause the entire machine to stop, and the integrated structure makes maintenance cumbersome, with gypsum dust easily eroding the motor bearings, resulting in a heavy maintenance workload, and unable to ensure the continuous and stable operation of the gypsum production line.
However, our company's Heavy-duty Roller Screen incorporates new design concepts based on the original equipment: each group of screen shafts (four per group) has a set of drive device to drive the screen shaft, and the lower part of the screen shaft is equipped with a screen disc cleaner, which can keep the screen surface clean.
With years of operation experience and continuous improvement, it has the advantages of a reasonable structure, high screening efficiency, large production capacity, good sealing performance, low noise, small vibration, and the ability to automatically clean the screen surface without clogging, easy installation, safe and reliable use, etc., and has become the preferred solution for processing sticky and wet materials and medium-coarse particle size ores, widely used in classification and screening in the coal, power, metallurgy, and building materials industries.
Working Principle Of Heavy-Duty Roller Screen
The screen surface of the Heavy-duty Wobbler Feeder is composed of multiple screen shafts arranged parallelly and equipped with screen discs. It is driven to rotate by a transmission device, and its rotation direction is the same as the flow direction of the materials. The gap between the screen shaft and the screen disc forms the sieve holes. Materials smaller than the sieve holes are affected by their own weight and the rotational force of the screen shaft, passing through the sieve holes and becoming the undersize materials. Materials larger than the sieve holes continue to move forward along the screen surface and become the oversize materials, thus achieving the separation of the materials. To prevent the materials from getting stuck on the screen shaft, electrical and mechanical overload protection functions are provided. The screening particle size can be adjusted according to your requirements by adjusting the gap of the screen shaft and the size of the screen discs.
Why Can Heavy Duty Roller Screens Effectively Screen Sticky Gypsum Rock?
Strong Anti-Clogging Performance
For each screen shaft of the Heavy-duty Roller Screen, there is a wear-resistant comb-shaped self-cleaning device below. During the continuous rotation of the screen disc, the comb teeth can automatically remove the adhered damp gypsum fine powder and sludge. Combined with the small-throw-angle interlaced parabolic screen disc, the screen holes open and close dynamically. The gypsum powder will not clog the screen surface, thereby fundamentally avoiding the problems of frequent clogging and machine shutdown for material cleaning in traditional vibrating screens.
Smooth Operation
The equipment rolls and screens the materials at a constant speed through the screen shaft, without high-frequency vibrations. This prevents the wet gypsum powder from being crushed into a dense mud layer. As a result, the materials are evenly stratified on the screen surface. The fine gypsum powder rolls and screens alternately through the screen disc to achieve rapid sieving, significantly reducing the probability of the powder clumping and adhering to the screen disc. The sieving efficiency can reach over 90% with stability.
High Wear Resistance And Impact Resistance
The screen disc is cast as a single piece using high-quality wear-resistant manganese-chromium alloy steel or NM360 material. On both sides of the box body, thick wear-resistant liner plates are installed, which can withstand continuous falling impacts from large blocks of gypsum rock and long-term erosion without deforming or cracking. The arrangement of the screen disc has been optimized based on the hardness and clay content of gypsum to prevent it from getting stuck with large blocks of gypsum rocks. The service life of this equipment is much longer than that of traditional screen mesh vibrating screens.
Fully Enclosed Structure
The entire machine is equipped with a sealed box. The fine powder generated by the wet gypsum screening is completely locked inside the equipment, preventing any dust from escaping. This not only reduces the loss of gypsum raw materials but also meets the environmental protection production standards of the mining industry. At the same time, it avoids dust entering the bearings and causing malfunctions.
Modular Design
Optional single-axis independent drive solution. A single screen shaft failure will not affect the continuous operation of the entire machine; equipped with overload automatic shutdown protection. It is less likely to get stuck and stop when processing high moisture and large flow gypsum feed. It can complete gypsum classification continuously and stably for 24 hours, meeting the requirements of synchronous screening of coarse gypsum and fine gypsum powder.
Application Of Heavy-Duty Roller Screen
The heavy-duty roller screen not only can sieve wet and sticky gypsum rocks but can also be applied in the following industries
- Mining Industry:In the primary screening of ores, the heavy-duty roller screen can efficiently separate large chunks of ore from fine particles, providing suitable materials for subsequent crushing and beneficiation processes.
- Metallurgical Industry:In the screening process of metallurgical raw materials such as coke and sintered ore, heavy-duty roller screens can effectively remove impurities and improve the purity of the raw materials.
- Building Materials Industry:In the production of sand and gravel aggregates, Roller Screens can quickly separate aggregates of different sizes, meeting the demand for construction sand.
- Coal Industry:In the screening and washing process of coal, the heavy-duty roller screen can efficiently separate lump coal and fine coal, thereby increasing the utilization rate of coal.
