In recent years, the sidewall belt conveyor has gradually developed to the direction of increasing the height and conveying capacity.
Due to the current domestic design of sidewall belt conveyor has not been completely established, the retaining belt conveyor produced by various factories although the parts are similar, but not the same, the lower idler generally adopts the original TD75 type belt conveyor flat lower idler load back to empty belt. The belt wavy skirt is easy to Mosaic with the roller and damage the skirt and partition. For this reason, the author invented a special support device (see 8, 2000). However, after more than 3 years of practical application, the following problems were reported by the users: (1) there are many parts and complex manufacturing; (2) installation trouble, difficult debugging; (3) Difficult maintenance and replacement. Accordingly, the belt bearing device and compound belt bearing wheel are redesigned and improved, and a new simple compound belt bearing roller is developed to replace the original belt bearing device and compound belt bearing wheel. The new compound roller is composed of the original TD75 flat lower roller and the empty support wheels at both ends. The installation of the new type of sidewall belt idler is relatively simple. It only needs to connect the lifting lug of the original TD75 type installed flat type idler and then load the new type of sidewall belt idler. At the initial stage of installation, the compound lower idler should be installed. When hoisting the belt, the belt can be directly dropped on the compound lower idler, and then the belt can be pulled to the head position with a hoist, which can reduce the wear of the belt. When installing, the gap between the left and right sides should be controlled. If the gap is found to be different, the gap can be ensured by adjusting the Angle of the lifting lug.
3. The new compound sidewall belt conveyor has been used in large dip Angle belt conveyor for boiler loading coal, and has achieved good results. Compared with the original flat lower roller and the original belt device, the structure is simpler, the performance is more reliable, and the maintenance is easier. The feedback from users shows that the new compound lower roller has no wear and tear between the roller and the belt skirt, which is of great benefit to improving the service life of the belt.
