Surface Feeders Introduction

Surface Feeder is a ground-level material handling solution designed for direct receiving, stockpile reclaim and controlled transfer of bulk materials. Also known as a Reclaim Feeder, it can receive material from trucks, wheel loaders, dozers or stockpiles and continuously feed conveyors, crushers, screens and other downstream equipment.

Its low-profile arrangement provides an alternative to conventional deep receiving hoppers, offering greater flexibility for material receiving and reclaim operations. The Surface Feeder is widely used in open-pit mining, stockpile reclaim and bulk material handling applications where reliable material flow and reduced secondary handling are required.

The Surface Feeder receives material from a mobile loading source or stockpile and transfers it through a chain-driven conveying system. The flights move material toward the discharge point, where it enters the downstream conveying or processing system. In reclaim applications, the equipment functions as a Reclaim Feeder, continuously extracting material from the stockpile and regulating its flow into the process.
