The steep incline corrugated sidewall belt conveyor adopts a structure composed of sidewall and cleat. It has the advantages of simple structure, reliable operation, and convenient maintenance of ordinary belt conveyors. At the same time, it can achieve large inclination (0-90° vertical) transportation. The structure is compact, occupying less space, and is an ideal equipment for large inclination (or vertical) transportation.

It is suitable for transporting granular materials such as crushed stones, limestone, sintered sand powder, and grains in industries such as coal, power, and metallurgy. For transporting materials with components such as high temperature, acids, alkalis, oils, or organic solvents, special edge-enclosed conveyor belts are required.

In addition, according to the process layout requirements, different upper and lower horizontal sections can be designed to achieve continuous single-machine transportation with both horizontal and vertical lifting, making it an ideal alternative equipment for multi-machine linkage mechanical systems for horizontal transportation and vertical lifting.

Steep Incline Corrugated Sidewall Belt Conveyor Working Principle

The structure of the steep incline corrugated sidewall belt conveyor is to attach freely expandable rubber corrugated "skirts" on both sides of the flat rubber transport belt. Between these skirts, certain strength and elasticity cleats are attached to form the hopper, enabling the continuous transportation of materials within the hopper.

Its working principle is relatively simple. It mainly consists of two stages: the ascending stage and the horizontal stage. In the ascending stage, the conveyor belt carries the materials and moves upward from the initial position. During the entire process, the conveyor belt is in a bent state, and by rapidly lifting the materials, a high-angle inclined plane is formed. Then, the materials are transferred to the horizontal stage and continue to move in the horizontal direction until they are sent to the destination.

To achieve better loading and unloading conditions, this machine adopts a "Z" shape layout. It is equipped with an upper horizontal section, a lower horizontal section and an inclined section. Materials are loaded in the lower horizontal section and unloaded in the upper horizontal section. The connection between the upper horizontal section and the inclined section is made by a convex arc-shaped frame, while the connection between the lower horizontal section and the inclined section is achieved by a concave arc-shaped frame to ensure a smooth transition of the conveyor belt.

Upper Horizontal Section: To meet the requirements of different discharge heights, the head frame is divided into a low-head frame (head frame height H0 = 1000mm), a Chinese-style head frame (head frame height H0 = 1100 - 1500mm), and a high-head frame (head frame height H0 = 1600 - 2000mm). Correspondingly, in the upper horizontal section, low-profile convex arc section machine frames and low-profile middle frame legs (matched with head frame height H0 = 1000mm), Chinese-style convex arc section machine frames and Chinese-style middle frame legs (matched with head frame height H0 = 1100 - 1500mm), high-profile convex arc section machine frames and high-profile middle frame legs (matched with head frame height H0 = 1600 - 2000mm) are respectively used.
Inclined Section: Regardless of whether the upper horizontal section uses a low-profile, Chinese-style, or high-profile middle frame leg, the inclined section uses a low-profile middle frame leg. When the conveyor's inclination angle β ≥ 45°, type II low-profile middle frame legs are recommended.
Lower Horizontal Section: The lower horizontal section uses a low-profile middle frame leg.
