The steep angle sidewall belt conveyor is a new type of continuous conveying equipment. It has the following features: large conveying capacity (compared with other conveyors, the conveying capacity is increased by 1.5 to 2 times); strong versatility (the basic components are the same as those of the general belt conveyor), wide application range (suitable for conveying materials such as crushed stones, coal, limestone, fertilizers, sand, clay, wood chips, grains, etc.; applicable to materials with a unit weight of 500 to 2500 kg/m3 and a particle size of about 100 to 250 mm); simple structure, convenient maintenance, small space occupation and cost savings (it can replace the combined layout form of conveyors and bucket elevators and can directly adopt this model for installation); easy to arrange. Therefore, it has been widely promoted and used in industries such as coal, power, metallurgy, chemical industry and grain industry.

Steep Angle Sidewall Belt Conveyor Working Principle

The working principle of the steep angle sidewall belt conveyor is relatively simple. It mainly consists of two stages: the ascending section and the horizontal section.
In the ascending section, the conveyor belt carries the materials and moves upwards from the initial position. Due to the presence of the sidewall and the cleat, the materials do not slide or roll during the conveying process, thus ensuring the stability and efficiency of the conveying. Throughout the process, the conveyor belt is in a bent state, and by rapidly lifting the materials, a high-angle inclined plane is formed. Then, the materials are transferred to the horizontal section and continue to move in the horizontal direction until they are sent to the destination.

Due to the cleat structure, the material filling rate is usually above 80% and the material is not prone to sliding, enabling it to carry a large amount of material. The conveying capacity can be customized according to different needs. Whether it is powder, granular or block material, it can be transported stably.

There are no phenomena such as chain jamming, chain slipping, or chain breakage that often occur with scraper conveyors, nor are there problems like slippage or bucket dropping that are common in bucket elevators. Its running stability is almost equivalent to that of a general belt conveyor.
