The bucket elevator applied in quartz sand plants is a highly efficient and continuous vertical conveying equipment. Due to its ingenious design, a series of hoppers fixed on the traction chain or belt are used to lift the materials in the vertical or inclined direction. In the quartz sand production process, the bucket elevator, with its powerful vertical lifting capacity, precisely and rapidly transports the quartz sand particles that have undergone screening and washing from the lower position to the high-position storage silo or the next process, greatly improving the production efficiency and the continuity of the operation process.
Quartz Sand Bucket Elevator Working Principle
Quartz sand enters the aggregate storage bin at the bottom of the bucket elevator. The motor drives the reducer to rotate the pulley or drive pulley. The bins fixed on the traction components (such as conveyor belts or chains) scoop up the granular materials like quartz sand from the storage bin and lift them to the top of the bucket elevator along the traction components. Then, they flip downward around the top drive pulley for discharging.

Sealed Dust Prevention
Quartz sand is mostly fine particles and powder-like, so there is a lot of dust. The quartz sand bucket elevator adopts a fully enclosed casing design, effectively preventing dust from flying. This not only improves the working environment of the workshop and meets environmental protection requirements, but also avoids the scattering and loss of quartz sand raw materials, reducing raw material waste.
Wear-Resistant Design
Quartz sand has high hardness. Ordinary conveying equipment is prone to rapid wear. However, our quartz sand bucket elevator uses materials with strong wear resistance, such as wear-resistant steel plates, manganese steel bins, high-strength belts / chains, etc., which significantly reduces the frequency of replacement of vulnerable parts and lowers maintenance costs.
Structural Strength Optimization

Compared with inclined belt conveyors, it significantly saves floor space and can directly connect with drying machines, ball mills, silos and other high-position equipment. The production line layout is more reasonable.
Low Energy Consumption
This equipment has a low driving power. It adopts an inflow feeding method, a gravity-induced discharging design, and a densely arranged large-capacity hoppers. During the material lifting process, there is almost no backflow or leakage of materials.
