The flip flop screen adopts an elastic polyurethane mesh surface. It continuously expands and contracts at a frequency of 800 times per minute, achieving a high acceleration (50g), which effectively prevents the clogging of the mesh holes. It has high screening efficiency, large processing capacity, low moving load, low power consumption, and low noise. It is widely used in industries such as power, coal chemical industry, metallurgy, building materials, and waste treatment.

    The flip flop screen is a new type of screening equipment. Its uniqueness lies in the dual vibration principle, that is, a single drive generates dual vibrations, with one driver providing two vibrations.
    The linear vibration generated by the vibration exciter fixed frame is the basic vibration, and the vibration generated by the floating screen frame is the additional vibration. The two vibrate relative to each other.
    The two ends of the elastic polyurethane screen surface are respectively installed on the crossbeam of the fixed frame and the crossbeam of the floating frame. During the screening process, the polyurethane screen surface continuously expands and contracts (more than 800 times per minute) to obtain a very high vibration intensity (50g), which is more conducive to the loosening, stratification, and screening of the materials.

     

    How Flip Flop Screen Work?

     

    The flip flop screen, also known as the crank and link flip flop screen, operating principle as follows:

     Two eccentric wheels with a 180° phase difference enable the screen frames of the system to perform a clear linear reciprocating motion. This means that the crossbeams of the two systems also perform this motion, causing the clamped screen plates to alternately tension and release. This tensioning and releasing action makes the screen mesh, which is mounted across the machine's cross-section, produce a trampoline-like motion, and this is the characteristic feature of the mechanical flip-flow screening machine. The screen mesh's elasticity, resilience, and high wear resistance are key features. The screening machine operates at a low rotational speed, generating a stress of only about 2-3G acceleration. However, the dual - system drive allows the screen panels to achieve a much higher acceleration of approximately 50G.

     According to the pre-tension of the screen plate, the acceleration transmitted to the material screening can reach 50G or more. After the screen mesh is finely processed, the pre-tension is adjustable within a certain range.

     

     

     

    Flip Flop Screen Structure

     

    The screening machine mainly consists of a combined screening body (screen frame, flexible screen plate, crank transmission device, end transmission, motor, motor support, screening body support, vibration-damping springs, sealing cover, etc.).

    The screen frame is connected by enhanced carbon fiber elastic elements provided by a German manufacturer. These elastic elements remain intact even after millions of reciprocating deflections.

    The reciprocating distance between the components is determined by the inherent characteristics of the equipment and does not change with the load size of the screening machine. Therefore, the stability of this type of screening machine is an unparalleled advantage compared to other types of flip flop screens

    01/  High Screening Efficiency

    The high acceleration causes the screened materials to be thoroughly loosened and separated quickly. Compared with conventional screening machines, a greater amount of fine particles can reach the sieve opening. As a result, the sieve hole through rate of the screened material is high, and the bouncy effect reduces the particle carrying of some of the materials on the sieve surface.

     

    02/ Stable Screening

    The inner and outer screen frames are driven by the eccentric shaft for forced movement. The distance of their mutual movement is determined by the design characteristics of the screening machine. The distance of mutual movement between the inner and outer screen frames is not affected by external factors such as the material. Therefore, their screening characteristics remain constant under any working conditions, and the screening effect is always excellent.

     

    03/ No Blockage Of Sieve Holes

    The constant flexing of the elastic sieve plate prevents particle adhesion. The extension of the sieve plate causes a slight change in the opening of the sieve holes in the tension direction, which can be described as the "breathing" of the sieve holes. Combined with high acceleration force, it prevents particles close to the size of the sieve holes from blocking the sieve holes.

     

    04/ Low Speed With High Reliability

    Compared to the rotational speed of traditional screening machines, the mechanical flip flop screen has a running speed of less than 600 rpm. The screening machine itself generates stress with only about 2-3G of acceleration. Therefore, the screening machine itself will have higher reliability. Both theoretical design and practical verification have proved that products of the same type have achieved industrial durability verification.

     

    05/  No Impact On Foundation

    The rubber springs supporting the screening machine only bear the weight of the screening machine in the vertical direction during operation. In the inclined installation direction, they bear the inertial force of the screening machine. However, the low rotational speed characteristic of the screening machine results in no vertical impact on the foundation, reducing the load requirements for the foundation and minimizing additional investment.
