Our Coal Secondary Sizer is specifically designed for the secondary crushing process of coal. It features both precise classification and efficient crushing capabilities, capable of handling raw coal with a size of ≤300mm after the first crushing (allowing a small amount of 400mm material). The final output particle size is controlled within 50-140mm, fully meeting the particle size requirements for coal processing or transportation. The equipment adopts a design of two toothed rollers rotating in opposite directions, using the combined force of shearing and stretching to crush the materials. Combined with a special spiral tooth arrangement, it enables qualified particle sizes to pass directly, reducing over-crushing phenomena and improving crushing efficiency while reducing energy consumption. Whether processing bituminous coal, anthracite, or mixed coal with a coal gangue rate of ≤20%, the equipment can maintain stable production capacity. The single machine processing capacity can reach 500-4000t/h, suitable for the production needs of different-sized coal mines.
How Coal Secondary Sizer Work?
The core working principle of the Coal Secondary Sizer is based on a combined crushing mechanism of shearing and stretching.
● After the equipment is started, two explosion-proof motors drive the double toothed rollers to rotate in opposite directions through the transmission system. The spirally arranged teeth on the toothed rollers form an interlocking structure.
● When the raw coal that has undergone primary crushing enters the crushing chamber, it is first precisely gripped by the tooth tips. The relative movement of the two tooth rollers exerts a shear force, and at the same time, the stretching effect produced by the tooth shape design causes the material to break along natural fractures.
● Particles with a size smaller than the gap between the toothed rollers are directly sorted out through this process. For the materials larger than the gap, they are continuously sheared and broken until they reach the preset discharge size. This ultimately achieves the integration of efficient crushing and sorting.
Coal Secondary Sizer Details

Drive Device
Two independent drive units, each drive units includes: motor, high-speed end coupling, gear box, low-speed end coupling. The high-speed end coupling uses a hydraulic coupling to connect the motor to the gearbox. The gearbox adopts parallel shaft helical gear structure to meet the requirements of power transmission, speed ratio and torque under extreme load of the Coal Secondary Sizer .

Toothed Roller
Toothed roller can be divided into Primary Coal Secondary Sizer Toothed Roller and Secondary Coal Secondary Sizer Toothed Roller. Easy installation and disassembly of the Coal Secondary Sizer tooth head, which can significantly reduce the maintenance time and lower the maintenance cost.

Housing
Coal Secondary Sizer housing is designed as a rigid host frame, and the housing is made of cast steel and connected by high strength bolts. Wear-resistant plates are installed around the inside of the housing, and comb shaped wear plates are installed on both sides of the housing to prevent excessive material from adhering to the crusher tooth rollers.

Side Plates
The side plates of the Coal Secondary Sizer are integrally formed through high-quality casting technology, ensuring a stable and reliable structure. After precise processing by a high-precision CNC lathe, the side plates achieve strict mating accuracy during installation. This design not only extends the service life of key components but also ensures the smooth operation of the entire machine, providing continuous support for the equipment under high-intensity working conditions.

Lubrication Device
Coal Secondary Sizer adopts centralized automatic lubrication system, it can be more oil filling times, oil filling time Settings, reliable to ensure the effective and reliable lubrication of each part. Automatic control of oil supply interval time, oil supply pressure is large, oil supply speed is fast, the bearing is fully lubricated effectively, so that the core part of the teeth roller bearing to achieve good lubrication, greatly extend the service life of the teeth roller.

Running Gear
The tramming device is installed at the bottom of the Coal Secondary Sizer and driven by a motor to move along a track to the maintenance access, facilitating easy maintenance and avoiding disassembly. This design allows the equipment to move smoothly between the operating and maintenance areas, reducing manual labor and minimizing downtime during maintenance, thus improving operational efficiency.

Primary Sizers Toothed Roller
The feeding granularity of primary sizers is less than or equal to 1500mm and the discharging granularity is less than 300mm. The arrangement of crushing tooth shapes and tooth shapes are arranged by special spiral tooth shapes. The crushing teeth are cast from abrasion resistant and impact resistant alloy steel. Primary Sizer toothed roller has a unique and novel tooth design structure with deep spiral distribution for high productivity. The passing cavities are formed between the two toothed rollers and the side plate body for screening and crushing materials respectively.

Secondary Sizers Toothed Roller
The Feeding size of Secondary sizer less than or equal to 300 mm (a small amount of 400mm is allowed), and the discharging granularity is less than 50mm. The connection form of the teeth plate adopts a single dovetail groove, which is complementary to the bevel of the insert clamping block, and then the crushing tooth plate is installed on the fixing seat of the teeth plate, formed a surface to surface connection, which is tightened and pressed by high-strength bolts. The function of the bolt becomes a fixed insert clamping block, avoiding the problem of the fixed lock bolt breaking, teeth plate falling off or difficult to disassemble and replace.

01/ Suitable For High-stone-content Coal
We are specially designed for the coal industry and can easily handle mixed coal with a stone content of ≤ 30%. The crushing teeth plates are made of wear-resistant alloy material and undergo high-frequency quenching treatment, which can withstand the intense impact of stones and extend the service life by 40% compared to ordinary teeth plates. This avoids frequent replacement of components and affects production.
02/ Precise Coal Screening
Our spiral toothed + secondary crushing beam design allows the output particle size to be adjusted from 50 to 140mm, with a uniformity of ≥95% and an oversize content of ≤2%. This design perfectly suits subsequent processes such as coal washing and screening, thereby enhancing sorting efficiency and the recovery rate of high-quality coal.
03/ Lower Crushing Loss Rate
We optimized the tooth shape and crushing gap to match the brittleness characteristics of coal. Only oversized particles were crushed. The crushing loss rate was ≤ 5%, maximizing the retention of effective capacity, reducing waste of coal resources, and enhancing the economic benefits of the enterprise.
04/ Adapt To Multiple Types Of Coal Crushing
Our equipment can flexibly adapt to various types of coal such as bituminous coal, anthracite, long-flame coal, and lignite. Whether it is dry coal or sticky coal with a moisture content of ≤ 25%, it can operate stably and meet the diverse raw material processing needs of the coal industry.
05/ Dust Control Meets Standards
We employ a fully enclosed box structure combined with a double-sealing system. During the coal crushing process, the unorganized emission of dust is ≤ 10mg/m³. Coupled with the reserved centralized dust collection interface, it easily complies with the environmental emission standards of the coal industry and improves the working environment in the mining area.
06/ High-capacity Production
Our single-machine processing capacity reaches 500 - 4000 t/h, and the effective length of the toothed rollers can be as long as 4000mm.
