The cast iron ball sidewall belt conveyor is composed of three parts: base belt, sidewall and cleat. The sidewall is connected to the base belt through a secondary vulcanization process, and the cleat supports the materials in a T-shaped, TC-shaped or C-shaped structure. The base belt is made of cotton canvas, nylon or steel wire rope core materials and is classified into ordinary type, heat-resistant type and cold-resistant type, etc. It is suitable for transporting powdery, granular, small block-shaped and liquid materials with an inclination angle ranging from 0° to 90°. The particle size of the materials can reach 1-400 millimeters, and the conveying capacity ranges from 1 to 6000 cubic meters per hour.

The cast iron ball sidewall belt conveyor is a more advanced and flexible material conveying system. Similar to the structure and working principle of ordinary belt conveyors, it is driven by a transmission drum and uses friction to drive the conveyor belt to wrap around the head and tail drums to form a closed loop. The upper and lower idlers support the conveyor belt as the load-bearing and traction components.

It is mainly composed of discharge hopper, drive pulley, sweeper, sidewall conveyor belt, press pulley, guard wheel, upper idler wheel, bend pulley, lower idler wheel, material guiding trough, empty section cleaner, tail drum, tensioning device, etc.

The main difference from ordinary belt conveyors lies in the structure form of the conveyor belt. The conveyor belt of the cast iron ball sidewall belt conveyor is composed of base belt, corrugated sidewall and cleat. Moreover, there are also significant differences in some parts such as bend pulley, press pulley and idler wheels between the two.

Saving Floor Space

The cast iron ball sidewall belt conveyor can achieve a maximum conveying inclination angle of 90°, significantly reducing the floor space occupied by the equipment and completely solving the problem of large-angle conveying that cannot be achieved with ordinary belts.

Flexible Layout

Since the cast iron ball sidewall belt conveyor can convey iron balls within a full range of 0° - 90°, during the engineering application process, the position of the material stacking point relative to the transportation end is not restricted. It can be arranged according to specific terrain and requirements, thereby improving the utilization rate of the site and reducing the land area.

Large Conveying Capacity

The wave-shaped sidewalls on both sides of the conveyor belt increase the load area of the belt, thereby enhancing the conveying capacity while preventing iron balls from scattering. Currently, the conveying capacity of the cast iron ball sidewall belt conveyor can reach 6000t/h. The maximum lifting height of a single unit can reach 150m.

Using a large-angle cast iron ball sidewall belt conveyor to transport iron balls can save investment costs by approximately 20% to 30%. This method works better in industries such as building materials, coal, and chemicals.

Compared with ordinary belt conveyors, bucket elevators, and chain-dump conveyors, this conveyor has superior comprehensive technical performance.
