The flip flow screen uses elastic polyurethane screen mesh. During operation, it can continuously expand and contract at a frequency of approximately 800 times per minute, generating a high acceleration of up to 30–50g. This effectively solves the problems of clogged screens and material sticking in holes for damp materials. It is the core screening equipment for fine particle classification, dewatering and desilting in coal preparation plants.
How Flip Flow Screens Work?
Through the high-frequency and large-amplitude "tension-relaxation" reciprocating motion of the screen mesh itself, the material undergoes intense bouncing, effectively preventing the clogging of the sieve holes, and improving the screening efficiency and accuracy.
Flip Flow Screen Structure
The screening machine mainly consists of a combined screening body (screen frame, flexible screen plate, crank transmission device, end transmission, motor, motor support, screening body support, vibration-damping springs, sealing cover, etc.).
The screen frame is connected by enhanced carbon fiber elastic elements provided by a German manufacturer. These elastic elements remain intact even after millions of reciprocating deflections.
The reciprocating distance between the components is determined by the inherent characteristics of the equipment and does not change with the load size of the screening machine. Therefore, the stability of this type of screening machine is an unparalleled advantage compared to other types of flip flow screens

01/ Advanced Screening Technology
Thanks to a thorough understanding and application of the screening theory of materials, from the perspective of the separation mechanism, when the materials are thrown up on the fluctuating surface, the forces acting on the materials come from multiple directions, which promotes the separation of coarse and fine particles, thereby improving the separation efficiency.
02/ High Screening Efficiency
The higher acceleration enables the wet and sticky coal slurry as well as fine particles to be fully loosened and separated rapidly, achieving a higher rate of passing through the screen. Under the effect of high acceleration, it effectively prevents particles close to the screen holes from blocking the screen holes, making it highly suitable for the classification of fine particles in coal preparation plants.
03/ No Blockage In Screening
The screen mesh of the flip flow screen is made of imported high-elastic polyurethane material. This material has excellent corrosion resistance and bending fatigue resistance, long service life, high reliability, etc. Moreover, the high-frequency stretching movement can continuously shake off adhered materials, solving the problem of moisture-clogged holes at the root.
04/ Reliable Operation
Compared with the rotational speed of traditional vibrating screens, the mechanical flip flow screen operates at a speed lower than 600 rpm. The screen machine itself generates stress through only 2-3G of acceleration, resulting in higher reliability.
05/ Low Initial Investment
The rubber springs supporting the screening machine only bear the weight of the screening machine in the vertical direction during operation, and the inclined installation direction bears the inertial force of the screening machine. However, the low rotational speed characteristic of the screening machine results in no vertical impact on the foundation of the equipment, reducing the load-bearing requirements for the foundation and minimizing additional investment.

Flip Fow Screen Applications
Flip flow screens are widely used in coal preparation plants for classifying, desliming, and dewatering wet coal, crushed coal, coal slime, and fine-grained coal. They are also suitable for use in mining, metallurgy, building materials, chemical industry, refractory materials, quartz sand, ceramsite sand, petroleum fracturing sand, kaolin, limestone, feldspar, dolomite, barite, and other fine-grained, sticky, and easily clogged materials.
Applications in the coal chemical industry : It resolves technical challenges in fine screening for industries with ultra-high - capacity, such as the coal chemical industry, where the screening radius is 12mm. In cases where over 90% of the material is retained on the screen in ultra-high-capacity screening, it has been applied at Henan Yima Gasification and Xinjiang Guanghui New Energy, successfully solving screening tasks that vibratory flip flow screens couldn't accomplish.
Applications in the coal industry: It solves the technical challenges of screening fine, moist, and sticky coal particles. With a screening range as small as 3mm, it has been applied at State energy Group's Wanli No.1 Mine and Lijiahao Coal Mine. This equipment is capable of handling sticky and fine coal particles, offering a high screening efficiency and precision that post-screening equipment cannot match.
Other industrial applications: In industries like aggregates and nonferrous metals, especially in the aggregates industry, screening 3 - 5mm moist and sticky materials remains a challenge. The application of mechanical flip flow screens will resolve this industry issue and promote its development.
